Bassil: logic of force will end at the Parliament
Minister of Energy and Water Resources, Gebran Bassil, launched on Saturday the project on limiting poisonous emissions of Zouk thermal plant.

Bassil said that the “logic of force will end tomorrow at the Parliament”, stressing that he will appeal to the law of random employment.

“We will not settle for less than a limited examination for EDL contract workers and we hope that no one drives us to use the same method adopted by others in order bring down this law”, Bassil added.

On the other hand, Bassil warned that eliminating the Zouk thermal plant is disastrous, stressing that it should be rehabilitated because other alternatives do not exist.

In this context, Bassil apologized to the residents of Keserwan, referring to the poisonous emissions of the plant and because they did not block any roads in protest to electricity shortages.
