Prime Minister-designate Saad Hariri held Friday a long meeting at Beit al-Wasat with McKinsey consultancy firm, in the presence of caretaker Minister of Economy Raed Khoury, and a number of concerned people; where they discussed all the aspects of the McKinsey plan and put in place a road map for a productive plan.
Following the meeting, Minister Khoury said that the McKinsey Plan, which was presented earlier to the President, was examined, adding that the meeting was positive, especially since the plan developed by the company is good and is considered a continuation of the CEDRE conference.
“We cannot reach positive results without plans to stimulate the economy through productive sectors,” he stated.
The caretaker minister pointed out that “the next step is to present the plan to the cabinet for approval and implementation, since there is a political consensus over it.”
“For the first time we have a clear plan that includes new legislations and laws through the work of several ministries, within a large workshop that sets the goals of each sector,” he said.
