Hollande to Berri: Preserving Lebanon’s stability a priority for France

French President Francois Hollande confirmed to Speaker Nabih Berri on Tuesday that preserving Lebanon’s stability, civil peace and democracy is a priority for him.

In his cable, Hollande confirmed that France has always defended Lebanon’s independence, sovereignty and the safety of its lands, adding that his country attaches great importance to Lebanese-French friendly ties.

“Rest assured that France will always side with Lebanon to help it defy all challenges”, amid drastic changes sweeping the entire region.
