Frangieh: “Gulf money” poured into Koura sub-elections
Al Marada leader MP Sleiman Frangieh called on his parties’ electoral machine to intensify efforts to guarantee the victory of SSNP candidate Walid el-Azar in the Koura sub-elections. He said that the rival party is using “Gulf money” to buy votes for its candidate.

During his meeting with the Koura electoral machine in the Marada building n Bnashee, Frangieh said that the region of Koura is witnessing a fundamental political battle imposed by the other party, “away from any kind of provocation.”

“At each phase, Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea provokes people in their regions and their homes, claiming that it is a democratic right”, Frangieh said.

He added “We do not have their financial means that are very obvious for all through the ads that were valued at more than 1.5 million dollars, at a time when the entire electoral battle barely cost us $200,000”.

Frangieh called on all parties to forget all quarrels and support SSNP candidate Walid el-Azar., considering that general elections are easier than “this sub-battle.”
