Bassil at the inauguration of “Mind The Gap” conference: Women must prove themselves in politics

Caretaker Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil stressed Saturday the need for the Lebanese women to prove themselves in politics, not only through expressing themselves, but also through getting involved in decision-making.

In a speech he delivered on the inauguration of “Mind the Gap” conference, he said that women will take part in the new cabinet, noting that at least one woman must represent every parliamentary bloc.

The conference was held upon the call from the Lebanese National Energy and with a Lebanese, Arab and international participation. It aims at highlighting the awaited changes in the Lebanese mentality regarding the role of women and its importance in the community.
