Numerous corruption files marked the year 2018 in Lebanon

The year 2018 in Lebanon was marked by waste of public funds, numerous crises and pending corruption files that failed to be resolved, despite international appeals to implement radical financial reforms; otherwise, Lebanon would lose USD 12 billion in grants approved during Cedre conference.

 

From the electricity crisis to the issues of garbage, telecommunications, public sector employment and the airport system, and on top of all these problems, Lebanon’s public debt reached USD 86 billion.
