Arab League Secretary-General: New visions required for regional challenges

Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit said on Friday that the tremendous challenges that the region is facing require the development of new visions and coming up with ideas that not only address the present but focus on the future and its rapid development.

Aboul Gheit’s comments were made during a meeting for Arab Foreign Affairs and Economy Ministers to discuss the agenda of the upcoming summit in Beirut.

“The economic integration and coordination of policies in various aspects of development have become a necessity rather than a luxury,” he added.
