The estimations suggested that Electricite Du Liban needs in 2019 an amount of LBP 2670 billion, in accordance with $66 per oil barrel, in order to cover the cost of power ships operation.
The company received a first advance from the said amount, upon a government decree granting LBP 400 billion to cover the fuel expenses for the months of February and March.
EDL also received a second installment of LBP 794 billion, after the parliament passed a draft law on Wednesday.
