EDL saga ends!

EDL contract workers postponed the removal of their sit-in, expected to take place today, until Friday.

Sources informed LBCI of the main items:

1- No legal procedures against contract workers who participated in the sit-in

2- Payment of accumulated salaries for three months

It is expected that the contract workers will remove their sit-in and reopen the company as a goodwill gesture.

In turn, the GLC will be taking charge of the negotiations concerning the modification of the draft law regarding granting tenure to the contract workers, before referring it to the Parliament in the first legislative session.
