Speaker Nabih Berri reiterated emphasis that they do not intend to target the low-income employees and the poor factions of society, noting that the parliament will prevent any move in that direction.
MP Ali Bazzi quoted Berri as saying during Wednesday’s deputies gathering in Ain al-Tineh, Berri stressed that contributions from all the parties are required to save the economic situation.
