Information Minister Jamal al-Jarrah denied Wednesday reports spread by media outlets concerning the salaries, stressing that the cabinet has not yet reached these points in the discussions. He ruled out that reductions will affect the employees’ salaries.
Following the cabinet session, al-Jarrah said that a consensus has been reached over passing the budget as soon as possible.
The minister added that discussions during the session were serious and deep, pointing out that important points were tackled in boost growth and reduce expenditure.
“A number of items were passed and the discussions will continue on Thursday, in addition to additional sessions to be held next week,” he explained.
