Raiit – Zahle road cut-off in protest of stone quarries shutdown
The residents of the town of Raiit in Zahle blocked the town’s road with burning tires in protest of the official shutdown of the stone quarries. Security forces did not interfere despite their heavy deployment in the region.        

Residents called on the interior minister to be just, wondering why the law is not applied to the stone quarries in the south and the north.
