A fishing boat with eight Syrians on board sank on Monday morning off the north coastal town of Chekka after it embarked on a clandestine migration trip to Cyprus, the state-run National News Agency reported.
The Lebanese army arrested three passengers who had managed to swim to the shore, while the destiny of the other five is still unknown.
