Bassil’s advisor to LBCI: No one has right to forbid others from visiting any Lebanese region

Advisor to Minister of Foreign Affairs Gebran Bassil Antoine Costantine said on Sunday that Bassil’s visit to the northern city of Tripoli and the district of Akkar is a part of a tour on all Lebanese regions.

“Tripoli’s visit took a larger dimension due to provocation,” he noted during an phone call with LBCI’s Nharkom Said TV show.

Costantine asserted that Bassil was right in stressing that no one has the right to forbid others from visiting any Lebanese region.

“We are advocates of communication, cooperation and openness, we carry only messages of cooperation and openness between all Lebanese,” he added.

Constantine also asserted that political competition is a “legitimate right as long as it is under the rule of the Lebanese Constitution."
