UNIFIL Spokesperson Andrea Tenenti announced on Tuesday that the situation in South Lebanon is calm, adding that peacekeepers were still carrying out their regular activities in their area of operations.
Speaking to the state-run National News Agency, Tenenti stated that "UNIFIL peacekeepers are still conducting their regular activities in their AO in south Lebanon and along the Blue Line.”
He also stressed that the UNIFIL is working with all the concerned sides "to guarantee the non-occurrence or misunderstanding of any incident that could jeopardize the cessation of hostilities."
