Sheikh Qabbani hopes Lebanese are aware of dangers of their division

The Mufti of the Republic, Sheikh Mohammad Rashid Qabbani received on Monday a call from the Maronite Patriarch Beshara Boutros Rai who greeted him on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr and wished Muslims and all the Lebanese people peace and security.

For his part, Mufti Qabbani hoped that the Lebanese people are aware of the dangers of the divisions, “because division is the cause of strife”, he said.

The Mufti of the Republic also received greeting calls from former PM Salim al-Hoss, head of Change and Reform bloc MP Michel Aoun, LF leader Samir Geagea, vice Chairman of the Higher Islamic Shiite Council Sheikh Abdul Amir Qabalan, Sheikh Aql of the Mouwahidoune Druze Sect, Sheikh Naim HASSAN and Bishop Elias Audi as well as ministers, deputies and other figures.
