LBCI escorts released Syrian national Mohammad Adel al-Sleiman to his house

Upon his arrival to his home in Beshara el-Khoury Street, the released Syrian national announced that he is a Syrian opposition figure and a rights activist, adding that his abductors treated him well. Al-Sleiman called on the Syrian party behind Hassan Mokdad’s abduction to heed the call of his father and release him as soon as possible.      

In this regard, exclusive sources told LBCI that al-Sleiman will be heading to the ESCWA tent where the relatives of the kidnapped in Syria are holding a sit-in.

The father of Hassan al-Mokdad earlier told LBCI that the military wing of the clan stopped all kinds of military operations, noting that the family  should “no longer be held responsible for any incident that could happen”.              

For his part, the head of the Mokdad Clan's Association, Maher al-Mokdad noted that al-Sleiman was released as a goodwill gesture, hoping that their son Hassan will be released.            

In a statement to LBCI, Maher al-Mokdad added that the Clan announced the cessation of all kinds of military operations "when they saw the chaos that began to spread all over Lebanon."       
                  
For her part, the wife of Mohammad thanked all those who contributed in the release of her husband and told LBCI “We lived in fear and panic for the past 6 days”.

Al-Sleiman later headed for the ESCWA building  and  held, during a press conference, the UNHRC responsible for the Syrian men abducted in Lebanon, adding that the commission has yet not issued a statement condemning these operations.
