Sleiman lauds Army for releasing abductees
Lebanese President Michel Sleiman lauded the Lebanese Army on Wednesday for its fruitful efforts in releasing the abducted Syrian and Turkish national. He considered that the Army's action meets with Lebanon's national and interior interests and with Lebanon's reputation.

During his meeting with the LAF Commander, General Jean Qahwaji, Sleiman stressed the necessity to continue the legal proceedings against violators, and called on the ISF and the Army to unite their efforts in order to eradicate the cultivation of drugs and combat the production of narcotics across the country.

Sleiman had met with a delegation of Beirut MPs to discuss political and security issues in addition to the measures taken by the ISF and the Army to maintain security.
