Saqr files lawsuit against Karaki on charges of killing Lieutenant Colonel Abbas Jemaa
State Commissioner to the Military Court Judge Saqr Saqr filed a lawsuit against detainee Hassan Karaki on Wednesday on charges of killing Lieutenant Colonel Abbas Jemaa and trying to kill others during a raid conducted by the LAF in the Beirut Southern Suburbs’ area of Ghbayreh, in virtue of items 549 – 20172 / 549 arms. Saqr referred Karaki to the Military Magistrate.  

Lieutenant Colonel Abbas Jemaa succumbed to wounds sustained during the raids carried out by the Lebanese army in Beirut’s Southern Suburbs on Friday September 21.     

Amid a pursuit of wanted citizen Antar Karaki, an army patrol clashed with a number of armed persons in the aforementioned area.      

Clashes led to injuries among some ranks in the LAF some of which were serious and the pursued assailant, also reportedly injured managed to escape only to later be recaptured in the area of al-Kafaat.
