Wahhab: The stance of the Chouf district is not limited to one person or two

Former Minister Wiam Wahhab, head of the Arab Tawheed Party, said on Sunday that the stance of the Druze community and that of the Jabal (Chouf district) are not limited to one person or two. “The official stance will be taken under the auspices of the region’s sheikhs and upon the consensus of everyone.

During his meeting with a delegation of Hasbaya’s Sheikhs, Wahhab called on the concerned authorities to give people what they deserve, away from speeches and incitement.

Wahhab called on the state to assist poor regions and agricultural areas, and urged the region’s ministers to tackle this issue in the cabinet, especially that it encompasses two ministers hailing from Hasbaya.

“I hope and I believe that PM Mikati will heed this call”, he said.
