Judge Madi files lawsuit against unknown assailants Brig. Gen. al-Hassan's assassination

The attorney general at the judicial court Judge Hatem Madi filed on Thursday a lawsuit against unknown assailants or any other person involved in the assassination case of Brigadier General Wissam Hassan.

Judge Madi referred the file to the Justice Investigative Judge Nabil Wehbe and asked him to continue investigations and take all necessary measures including the issuance of arrest warrants and other actions that require international implementation.

The claim was based on decree number 934 issued by the council of ministers that calls for referring this issue to the judicial council and appoints judge Nabil Wehbe as a judicial investigator.

On the 19th of October 2012, an explosion rocked Achrafieh Sassine Square causing the death of Brigadier General Wissam al-Hassan, his companion Cheif Warrant Officer Ahmad Sahyouni, and other martyrs.
