Azour to LBCI: gvt must warn citizens of dangers surrounding the pay scale's ratification

Former Minister of Finance Jihad Azour said on Friday that the economic situation is difficult as its indicators have been falling since the past 2 years without taking any measures to activate the economic movement.                

Talking to LBCI during Nharkom Said, Azour stressed on the importance of maintaining monetary and financial stability and called for approaching the economic file in a more serious manner.                                  

Regarding the series of ranks and salaries, Azour said that the cabinet must explain to the citizens the dangers of acknowledging the series.                    

"Any premature decision in this regard may lead to negative impacts on the Lebanese economy," Azour concluded.
