REPORT: Popular Egyptian artist sings against Egyptian president

An Egyptian singer and dancer “Sama al-Masri” became the most-talked-about artist in Egypt after she made two songs by which she criticized the Egyptian President Mohammad Morsi and his decisions, mainly the referendum held to vote on the new draft constitution.

“Sama” also criticized by her songs the violations of the judicial authorities and the attacks carried out by the Salafists against the media, as well as the Muslim Brotherhood groups. She also mocked the “Renaissance project” which President Morsi promised of implementing.

In this context, Sama’s songs spread like wildfire across social media websites.
