Road Transport Unions announce general strike as of February 28

Road Transport Unions announced the launching of a general strike and peaceful sit-ins starting Thursday February 28 across Lebanese regions in protest of the failure to implement the agreements concluded within the government in regards to the traffic law, prices of hydrocarbons, the transportation plan and violations against the sector.     

After their meeting at the headquarters of the Lebanese General Workers' Union, the Unions pointed out that they will set the details of their movements and the mechanisms of the strike two days in advance of the set date.
