REPORT: Banks’ employees threaten of escalatory movements

Bank employees gathered on Friday to discuss means of a "banking revolution" in Lebanon, since according to them negotiations and discussions with the Banks Associations have failed to broker a new Collective Labor Agreement to safeguard their rights as employees in the banking sector.

Salaries, hospitalization after retirement, the scholarship and administrative raise, compensations and working hours constitute points of disagreement between the banks’ owners and the union of the banking sector employees which has “lost its patience.”

In this context, the Association of Banks was given one month to decide whether or not it will meet the demands of the employees or otherwise face escalatory measures.
