REPORT: Will the Lebanese banks escape the Cypriot financial crisis?

The financial crisis which hit Greece imposed radical fiscal measures, when Cypriot banks tried to loan Greece after it failed to settle its debts.

In this context, eleven Lebanese banks have been working in Cyprus for years and have deposits exceeding USD 2.5 billion.

This report will examine the situation of the Lebanese banks in Cyprus in an interview with president of the Association of Banks in Lebanon Joseph Tarabay, and whether or not will they be affected by the fiscal measures imposed on Cypriot banks.
