Health Minister announces extension of emergency state in Beirut

Minister of Public Health in the caretaker government Dr. Hamad Hassan announced on Thursday from Baabda Palace the extension of the state of emergency in Beirut for one month.

He said: "All we ask is to put on a mask, maintain social distancing and avoid overcrowding and gatherings."

Hassan reiterated that "the state of emergency will be extended in Beirut for a month, and the isolation of some neighborhoods in the regions will begin, while strictly enforcing home quarantine."
