Hassan to LBCI: 60 new ICU beds will be prepared in two weeks
Caretaker Minister of Health Hamad Hassan asserted on Monday that imposing a two-week total lockdown is logical.
“It is true that there are economic concerns, but we have reached a stage where it became difficult to secure a bed for a Coronavirus patient in hospitals,” Hassan told LBCI.
The minister added that 60 new intensive care beds will be prepared in two weeks in governmental hospitals.
Hassan also noted that the partial lockdown for three weeks did not yield good results, asserting that the ministry will up readiness to fight the virus during the lockdown.
