President Michel Aoun stressed that the stances he issued when he was in New York, whether in his speech before the United Nations General Assembly or during the meetings he held, stem from his convictions and the current facts, noting that his stances aim only at defending Lebanon, its sovereignty, dignity, and independence in the face of any military, political, or moral offensive.
During his meeting with a delegation from the “Loyalty to the Resistance bloc” headed by MP Mohammad Raad, Aoun said that “through his UN address, he wanted to make the countries of the world aware of their obligations towards Lebanon, mainly regarding the continuous Israeli attack, the repercussions of the Syrian displacement and the Palestinian cause, which remains unresolved for 70 years.”
Aoun also stressed the importance of Lebanese unity amid this delicate situation and the need to put national interests above others.
