The Lebanese Armed Forces worked Tuesday on reopening the highway in the region of Zouk Mosbeh in both directions.
During the mission, a clash erupted between the army forces and the demonstrators who refused to open the road, which led to arrests.
The protesters then negotiated with the army to release the arrested individuals.
