Islamic Supreme Islamic Council: Lebanon is in dire need today of a rescue government
The Islamic Supreme Islamic Council stressed on Tuesday that the latest developments in the country need “an awakening of conscience and the commitment of all to work seriously to address Lebanon's problems that threaten its existence and fate.”

The Council’s remarks were made after its meeting whereby it said that the Dar al-Fatwa "will only be alongside the strengthening of the unity among the Lebanese people."

It also called on everyone “to shoulder their national responsibility to steer the country out of the crisis.”

The Council called for the respect of the Lebanese Constitution and the implementation of all of its stipulations, stressing the need to call for the binding consultations to name a new premier.

“Lebanon is in dire need today of a rescue government,” the Council concluded by saying.
