Future bloc member MP Hady Hbeish said on Sunday that the country is heading towards a disaster and total collapse should the situation continue as it is, noting that there will be a financial war depicted in poverty and famine.
In a statement to LBCI’s Nharkom Said, the deputy said that the political power must read well the reality of the streets and the financial situation.
On the issue of the government, Hbeish noted that the discussions are ongoing with Samir al-Khatib to see whether he can form a cabinet.
“We cannot form a cabinet today in the same way adopted before,” he stated.
In the same context, MP Hbeish stressed the position of caretaker PM Saad Hariri is clear and does not want any politician in the new cabinet, emphasizing that the current situation cannot bear anymore delay.
