Sleiman meets Mikati, Kahwaji, Charbel, tackles latest developments
       
President Michel Sleiman held a meeting Monday with Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati, Caretaker Interior Minister Marwan Charbel and the Lebanese Armed Forces Commander General Jean Kahwaji, with talks featuring high on the latest developments including the most recent security breaches.        

On Sunday, four citizens were shot dead in the region of Wadi Rafeq which is located between the bordering outskirts of al-Qaa and Ras Baalbeck.        

The citizens were identified as Ali Karameh Jaafar, Mohammad Ali Ahmad Jaafar, Hassan Shireif Amhaz, and another citizen from Al-Oglu. Sources told LBCI that unknown assailants ambushed and killed the 4 citizens in the Wadi Rafeq region.        

In this regard, Sleiman stressed the need to arrest the assailants and to take all necessary measures in order to protect the country from attacks of all kinds.          

On another note, President Sleiman also held a meeting with Caretaker Social Affairs Minister Wael Abou Faour whereby they discussed the latest updates on the case of the Syrian refugees in Lebanon.
