MP Khazen to LBCI: Some sides aim at fomenting strife in Lebanon

Change and Reform bloc MP Farid El Khazen said on Sunday that some sides are attempting to foment strife in the country, adding that such attempts will fail.

MP Khazen's stance came during an interview with LBCI Nharkom Said TV show during which he said that LAF interference in Abra's incidents "saved Lebanon from strife."

He also noted that the Sunnite-Shiite disputes in the region resulted in the tensed situation in Lebanon and the rest of Arab countries.

As for the extension of the mandate of Army Commander Jean Kahwagi, he stressed that the Free Patriotic Movement refuses the extension of the mandate of any leader.
