Nahas: Lebanese economy to be back on track soon

Minister of Economy Nicolas Nahas said that the current phase requires more efforts to promote the common Arab economic action. This action will facilitate the phase of adaptation with the new situation in many countries, and immunize the Arab economy in the face of the global economy’s developments.

“The Lebanese economy has shown immunity in the face of challenges, and the monetary sector remained stable”, Nahas said.

At the annual periodical meeting of the Arab unions, Nahas said that he is confident the current dark cloud will pass and the Lebanese economy will be back on track in light of the current developments and indicators.

“The Lebanese government is adamant to deal with all the obstacles hindering this track, to revive all sectors, to go on with the development and reform programs and to improve investments and business”, he said.

Nahas stressed that no matter the developments, Lebanon will always maintain its special spot in the Arab world, whether for its free economy of for its openness on the Arab and global markets.
