UCC collects signatures on the one million signatures petition at Ministry of Energy

Lebanese citizens along with employees of the Ministry of Energy signed on Wednesday the one million signatures petition launched by the Union Coordination Committee (UCC) at the Ministry's headquarter.

The head of the Union Hanna Gharib called on all Lebanese people to sign the petition in order to call for passing the wage scale at Parliament.

The Union Coordinating Committee alongside the private and public schools association had launched an open ended strike on February 19th, 2013 after making repeated called on Prime Minister Najib Mikati to validate the new salary scale and consequently refer it to Parliament for ratification.

Cabinet referred the wage scale on Thursday 21st of March, 2013.
