Sayegh to LBCI: US Congress to approve military strike against Syria

Former Minister Salim al-Sayegh said on Sunday that the decision of US President Barack Obama to carry out a military strike against Syria is "legal and constitutional", noting that "Obama seeks approval from the US Congress in order to enjoy a greater support".

In an interview with LBCI's Nharkom Said TV Show, former minister al-Sayegh stressed that "the US Congress will approve the military strike without going into details".

In a question directed at Min. al-Sayegh over the strike's repercussions on Lebanon, he said that it depends on Hezbollah's reactions, calling on the Lebanese parties to abide by the Baabda Declaration.
