March 14 Secretariat calls on the Lebanese people to resist attempts at sedition

The March 14 Secretariat General declared on Wednesday that the explosions that targeted the northern city of Tripoli and Beirut’s Southern Suburb were "proven to have been orchestrated by the Syrian regime," adding that the accusations launched by Hezbollah against Lebanese parties are rejected and serve as a cover to the real perpetrators.

“The time has come to summon the Syrian ambassador to Lebanon and inform him that he is longer welcome in the country,” the Secretariat said.

In a statement issued following its weekly meeting, the Secretariat General noted that the unprecedented use of chemical weapons by the Syrian regime against its own people is considered a crime against humanity, expressing its support to the Arab League's call for the punishment of the regime by the International Community.

Accordingly, the March 14 coalition called on the Lebanese people to act with utmost vigilance and caution amid the turbulent situation overtaking the country.

Similarly the alliance urged its members to express solidarity in the face of a future spillover of the Syrian war into Lebanon.
