Caretaker Minister Charbel: Municipality is a vital authority in Lebanon

Caretaker Minister of Interior Marwan Charbel launched on Thursday at BIEL a plan to activate the role of the municipal police in supporting the Internal Security Forces in maintaining security.

Charbel delivered a speech in which he said that Lebanon is "going through a difficult phase," saying that the Ministry must be ready to address any violation or security incidents.

He also urged the security apparatuses to arrest the fugitives with the cooperation of the municipalities to preserve Lebanon's security.

Caretaker Minister Charbel hailed the role of municipalities, saying that "the municipality is the most important authority in Lebanon."
