Jaber to LBCI: Berri’s initiative is not futile

Members of the Development and Liberation bloc MP Yassin Jaber stressed on Thursday that the initiative launched by Speaker Nabih Berri will be inclusive of all Lebanese factions, noting that a delegation from the bloc will visit President Michel Sleiman on Friday, then caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati, Prime Minister-Designate Tammam Salam and all concerned parties.

In a statement to LBCI’s Nharkom Said, Jaber said that the current situation in the country is unacceptable, calling on the Lebanese people to end their divisions.

He added that Lebanon is currently facing unprecedented security challenges, stressing that Berri’s initiative is not futile.
