Berri: Decisions taken by Mikati serve Lebanon’s best interest

Speaker Nabih Berri said on Wednesday that the decisions taken by PM Najib Mikati to fund the STL and postpone the cabinet’s meeting are in Lebanon’s best interest. Berri stressed that the cabinet should start working on appropriate solutions for other vital issues.

According to his visitors who took part in Wednesday’s parliamentary meeting, Berri said that prompt actions are needed on all levels. Berri called for the creation of a convenient atmosphere to resume dialogue sessions held under the aegis of President Michel Sleiman.

Berri received a phone call from President Michel Sleiman who gave his approval for the solution reached and another from a representative from PM Najib Mikati.
