Loyalty to the Resistance bloc calls for releasing Bahrain's al-Marzouq

The Loyalty to the Resistance bloc issued a statement on Wednesday whereby it denounced the arrest of former deputy speaker of parliament, Khalil al-Marzouq, by Bahrain's authorities, calling for his immediate release along other political detainees.

"Despite strong condemnations issued by human rights organizations as well as worldwide civil, international and humanitarian groups against the arrest of Khalil al-Marzouq, the Bahraini authorities seem to be adamant on practicing violence against this prominent figure alongside the oppressed people of Bahrain," the statement said.
