Caretaker PM Mikati calls for preservation of Lebanon’s coexistence

Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati called on Tuesday for the preservation of Lebanon's coexistence by maintaining national unity.

He also warned against putting sectarian interests before Lebanon, which he said contradicts with the Taef Accord that established democracy, freedom, justice and equality in the country.

Mikati’s comments came after he was invited to attend the first Conference for the Christians of the Orient.

He also slammed the attacks on churches, mainly in Egypt.
