Patriarch Rai denies rumors of his resignation

Maronite Patriarch Cardinal Beshara Boutros Rai expressed his concern on Tuesday stating that it is not appropriate that media outlets in Lebanon become a platform for lies; pointing out that information pertaining to his resignation is false.

Patriarch Rai said from the Beirut International Airport upon his arrival from Rome that Muslims and Christians have building a society together based on both religious values.

In this regard, Patriarch Rai called on all Lebanese factions to disassociate the country from all regional crises and support President Michel Sleiman in achieving this matter.
