President Sleiman denounces accusation raised against the Saudi Kingdom

Lebanese President Michel Sleiman denounced on Wednesday accusations raised against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the intervention in the Syrian crisis, stating that “at the time when Lebanese factions are embroiled with their disputes, the ‘enemy’ is accomplishing its goals in Lebanon.”

In this regard, President Sleiman called for defending the Lebanese state and giving “martyrdom” its exact meaning.

Sleiman said during the "Dialogue, Truth, and Democracy" Conference held in Jbeil that “Lebanon is built on dialogue and coexistence among its people, and we have long sought to bolster dialogue and democratic values.”

“Honest dialogue would have asserted Lebanon's sovereignty and its ties with other countries,” Sleiman said.
