Nahhas to LBCI: Mikati is not responsible for the political void

Caretaker Ministry of Economy Nicolas Nahhas said on Monday that the delay in the formation of a new cabinet in the light of the current situation and the urgent needs of the people, requires the government to convene in order to find appropriate solutions.

In a phone call with LBCI Nharkom Said TV Show, Nahhas stressed that the responsibility for dragging the country into political void does not fall on caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati but on the officials who have failed to form a new government.

Nahhas also pointed that consensus is required over the oil file before discussing it in a cabinet session.
