Public Works, and Transport Committee discusses situation of roads prior to expected storm

Public Works, Transport, Energy and Water Committee held a meeting on Tuesday at the parliament with companies tasked with managing the rain water.
This as another delegation headed to the airport tunnel to check up on the rainwater drainage systems and perform a quick cleaning process prior to the expected storm.

It is worth noting that a decision has not been taken yet to close the airport tunnel; officials are still waiting for the decision of the security forces and maintenance companies.

On Wednesday the 4th of December, the airport highway was completely blocked due to rainfall, keeping citizens stranded in their cars as the water level in the second tunnel of the airport road was one and a half meter high; blocking both sides of the highway.
