MP Erslan to Salam: “Fait accompli cabinets” dragged Lebanon into chaos

The head of the “Lebanese Democratic Party” MP Talal Erslan recalled the famous saying of the late Prime Minister Saeb Salam: “One Lebanon, not two Lebanons”, addressing his remarks to the Prime Minister-Designate Tammam Salam saying: “today, we are in desperate need to implement this slogan and we are all well aware of the fact that fait accompli cabinets have dragged Lebanon into chaos.”

“These cabinets have lost their legitimacy, since the introduction of the Constitution stipulates that any authority that contradicts with the principle of coexistence is illegitimate,” he added.

During a press conference, Erslan stressed that any violation of the Constitution is considered a coup against the constitution, in form and content.
