Caretaker Minister Bassil launches Janna dam in Qartaba
    
Caretaker Minister of Energy Gebran Bassil said Janna dam in Qartaba provides 100 Megawatts of electricity and a huge stock of water, noting that other dams will be launched in 2014.      

Bassil's speech was delivered on Sunday during the launching of the second stage of Janna dam works whereby he thanked President Michel Sleiman and former Minister Alain Tabourian who approved this project.        

"A former Prime Minister had asked for deferring the project until he had left office," he said, adding that "those who had indebted Lebanon are asking today for a solution to this crisis".             
"When we bring weak persons to top posts, this would result in a weak country. Lebanon will be strong when the President is strong," Bassil added.
