Future bloc warns Lebanon no longer able to bear the burden of Syrian crisis

The Future Bloc said on Wednesday that Lebanon is no longer capable of bearing the repercussions of the Syrian crisis, urging all Lebanese factions to resort to the state's authority and respect the principle of national partnership.

Following its weekly meeting, the bloc stressed the importance of respecting the dissociation policy, requesting the deployment of Lebanese Armed Forces along the Lebanese-Syrian borders.

“This step aims at preventing fighters from crossing between the two countries, sparing Lebanon further distress caused by Hezbollah’s participation in the Syrian crisis,” the bloc said in its statement.

As for the cabinet formation, the Future bloc said it is against granting veto power to any official, and voiced its total rejection to the “people-army-Resistance” equation, saying it was exploited to impede the work of state institutions.
